Time For A Three-Peat.
The plan for this weekend is “to win again as simple as that” Ryan Farrell said prior to this weekends AHG round at the Perth Motorplex. “We have had a couple of good weeks and I want that to continue so we return back to Kwinana this weekend with my #95 Bunbury Auto Group/Cowra Transport #95 Maxim aiming to win.”
The past couple of meetings have seen Farrell hop from car to car. At the last meeting at the ‘Plex he competed in one of the Monte Motorsport J&J’s and it proved to be a successful night out with ‘Flyan Ryan’ taking out an emphatic win on the high banks of Kwinana.
Car owner Luch Monte would have liked what he saw when you consider it was the first time Ryan had competed in a yellow car of his in quite some time, and may be an ominous warning from the team to all the others they race against when they join forces full time in 2009/10. But he wasn’t ready to take it easy on the opposition when he returned to his own car the following weekend.
He continued on his winning ways last at Manjimup, taking out the final round of the Hydraulink Southern Thunder Series on a fast and furious track that had everyone talking about how fast the 410ci beasts belted around the picturesque southwest 580 metre oval. He may have taken out the A-Main, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to win the series.
He walked away from the series with a rare DNF at Collie, a win at the tight little Margaret River Speedway, a wreck during the heats and being unable to start the A-Main at Bunbury for round three and a win at the final round of the series – I suppose you can say when your hot your hot, but when your not your not.
He walks away from the series with his head held high, and after the win last weekend in his own #95 Maxim, goes into this weekend brimming with confidence that he can take out the win. The season may be winding down to a close but Farrell still has his eyes set on taking out as many wins as possible before the summer speedway season ends.
