Farrell To ‘step It Up’.
BCM Motorsports Marketing posted Wednesday May 26, 2010.

He has been close before but for Ryan Farrell he is ready to take the only step on an Australian Sprintcar Championship podium – the coveted number one. This would be a fitting reward for Farrell, his car owner Luch Monte and his hard working crew who have continued to work hard at, and away from the track to give the #95 everything he needs for success.

Farrell only likes one result and that’s to win. In seasons past he has won plenty of races, but for a ferocious competitor like Ryan Farrell he rises to the occasion when he competes against the best. Twice before he has gone close to securing the prestigious #1 but the dream still eludes him.

On those two previous occasions Farrell has placed in the top two, second to Brooke Tatnell in 2005 at the Murray Bridge Speedway in South Australia, then a stirring third place at the previous incarnation at Kwinana in 2009. He has shown he knows how to get there all he needs are things to fall his way and he will take out the win.

This season has seen Farrell plying his trade at as many venues as possible across Australia and his form this year has been nothing short of outstanding, even though he has posted less wins than in previous seasons.

His World Series Sprintcar campaign grabbed plenty of attention for himself and the Monte Motorsports team, plus the recognition and respect of those he competed against , but no wins. Farrell is the first one to admit that he has had to work harder for podiums this year than he has wins in the past running around his home state, but running with Australia best night after night has taught him plenty – and he will be taking that with him to Darwin.

Farrell has competed at Northline on numerous occasions before and has plenty of wins under his belt at this racy little oval. For this reason many pundits believe that he has an advantage over the rest of the field and would have to start as one of the favorites for this years crown.

Speaking with Ryan only days before the big race he had this to say to me about this weekend "In a nutshell I cant wait, I have been building up to this weekend for 12 months, we run good at this track & Buzzy & Dillon know exactly what it takes to do well here at Northline, especially at this time of the year. The weather will play a big part this weekend & I believe I have the race fitness to get the job done for Monte Motorsports, Bring it on"

He has the tenacity, the speed and the team behind him to achieve the ultimate goal. Will Ryan Farrell grab the crown? Check back here on Monday morning to find out.
